Robert G. Barfield is a senior architect with Gresham Smith in the healthcare studio of their office located in Charlotte, North Carolina where his primary focus in on construction contract administration and building enclosure consulting. Robert is a certified construction contract administrator as well as a certified building enclosure commissioning authority. Over the past decade of his 20-year career, Robert has served as an architect, forensic architect, and building enclosure consultant on a variety of healthcare, industrial and multifamily residential projects. He is currently the chair of the AIA Construction Contract Administration Knowledge Community (national) and is also a member of the AIA/AGC Joint Committee (national).
