Kim Loehr is the marketing communications
consultant for the Lightning Protection Institute (LPI). She is also a
registered course provider with the Lightning Safety Alliance (LSA) and its national Continuing
Education Service (CES). Loehr is also a member of the Lightning Safety
Awareness Team, in partnership with the National
Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA); the National Fire Protection
Association’s (NFPA’s) Building Fire Safety Systems Section; and the National
Federation of Press Women (NFPW).
Lightning protection systems are sophisticated networks that incorporate strike termination devices, lightning current conductors, bonding conductors, ground electrodes and lightning surge protection devices.
