The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) Central Region has named Matt Ballain as its new executive director. Ballain has served many roles with PCI and is the current Past Chair. He most recently was vice president and general manager of Coreslab Structures in Indianapolis, a position he held for 19 years.
On PCI’s Executive Committee, Ballain has been an advocate for education and sustainability, including efforts to develop teaching materials for a prestressed concrete class while partnering with top engineering professors in the country. He also serves as chair on PCI’s Sustainability Committee. “Matt’s understanding of the industry, ability to foster collaboration in the private and non-profit sectors, and track record of substantial growth will serve the region well,” said Barry Barger, PCI Central Region Chair and vice president of Prestress Services Industries in Grove City, Ohio.
“I look forward to using my skills to further grow the market for producer and associate members, strengthening relationships with university professors and students, and enhancing the PCI Central Region through collaborative efforts with PCI and the other PCI regions,” Ballain said. He holds a BS in Accounting and Finance from Northwest Missouri State and an MBA from the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
The PCI Central Region includes Arkansas, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, and West Virginia.
