The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) welcomes Jacques Cattan as its new Managing Director, Quality Programs. He will oversee PCI’s quality programs, including certification activities for precast concrete plants, erectors, and personnel.
"I am very excited to join the PCI quality programs family,” Cattan said. “I look forward to using my diverse background in the AEC community, as well as standards development organizations, to contribute to the precast, prestressed concrete Body of Knowledge.”
Before joining PCI, Cattan was Design-Build Director at F.H. Paschen, a large general contractor, construction manager, and design builder in Chicago. He was responsible for design management activities, virtual design, and BIM activities. He also was a member of the company’s Quality Control Committee. Prior to F.H. Paschen, Cattan had two stints with the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC), most recently as Vice President, responsible for certification.
Cattan has Bachelor of Science degrees from the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago and the Missouri University of Science and Technology, in Rolla, Mo. He also has a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) from IIT.
“We are thrilled to have Jacques join the PCI team,” said PCI President and CEO Bob Risser, P.E. “Jacques brings a wealth of experience as an engineer and managing certification programs in the construction industry and will contribute greatly to the growth of PCI quality activities.”
Cattan will replace Mike Kesselmayer, who will retire from the same position at the end of 2023.
