The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) has hired Shelly Encher as its new membership director. She will be responsible for designing and implementing PCI’s membership growth and retention strategy, and the day-to-day management of member engagement. She will also serve as the liaison for several committees to help build a strong membership culture within PCI.
Encher has more than 15 years of non-profit experience in membership and outreach. She most recently was director of membership and outreach at the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society, where she provided recommendations on future initiatives, and strategized to recruit new members and retain current members. She also had stints with the Institute of Real Estate Management and the YMCA of Metro Chicago. Encher has a Bachelor of Arts, Marketing Communications, degree from DePaul University.
