Klein and Hoffman, K&H, a leading architectural restoration and structural engineering firm, announced that Kyle Stanish, Ph.D, S.E., P.E. has joined the company as a Senior Associate. He was formerly with Walker Restoration Consultants as a senior restoration consultant. His expertise includes both structural and materials assessment, with his doctorate in concrete materials.
Dr. Stanish joined Klein and Hoffman in January 2016. He has more than 10 years of experience in the restoration/repair industry. He holds a professional registration as a structural engineer in Illinois and is licensed as a professional engineer in the states of Illinois, Indiana, North Carolina and Tennessee.
His vast project experience includes routine evaluations to multi-year repair programs. Stanish's expertise involves various structural systems, including post-tensioned concrete, precast concrete, structural steel and masonry. As a published author, he integrated his experience, solutions and lessons learned with "Concrete International" and other relevant publications with the Raikar International Conference and the National Parking Association. He is the Secretary of the American Concrete Institute (ACI) Committee 365 - Service Life Prediction, and sits on Committees 364, 562 and 563.
Some of his widely recognized projects include the Pepsi Ice Center Parking Garage, University of Chicago Medical Center Parking Garage, Duke Hospital Parking Garage, Asheville Mall Green and Red Parking Deck, Oak Park Mall East and West, Easton Town Center, and the Little Rock Convention and Visitors Bureau Parking Garage. He obtained his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering: Concrete Materials from the University of Toronto. Also, he completed his Master of Science in Civil Engineering Structures from the University of Toronto and his Bachelor of Civil Engineering from McMaster University.
