Klein and Hoffman, K&H, a leading architectural restoration and structural engineering firm, is pleased to announce a new company shareholder - John Birazzi, AIA, CSI, CDT, Leed AP, as Associate Principal. He was formerly with Booth Hanson and held positions as a principal and technical director. He is an expert in life safety evaluations, due diligence reviews of existing buildings, and forensic architectural investigations.
Birazzi joined Klein and Hoffman in January 2016. He has more than 33 years of experience as registered architect and holds certifications as a certified construction documents technologist and a registered energy professional. His professional expertise is diverse including architectural design, system selection, project costs, sustainability, specifications, codes, materiality, alternates and best practices.
Some of his highly recognized projects include the University of Chicago, Public Building Commission, Chicago Botanic Garden, University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, Roosevelt University, Bank of America Theater, Kohl's Children's Museum, and as the trusted advisor to Cook County on projects such as the Cook County Domestic Violence Courthouse and others. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from Illinois Institute of Technology.
