Northcrest Developments has launched a global design competition for The Runway at YZD in Toronto. Formerly home to the historic Downsview airport, YZD is among the most ambitious and significant city-building efforts in North America.

The Roofing Alliance announced a three-year commitment of $150,000 to support SkillsUSA initiatives aimed at attracting young talent to the roofing industry.

The annual competition allows design students to highlight their creativity and vision while also gathering insights and experience with leaders of the industry.

The Roofing Alliance will host its 10th Anniversary Construction Management Student Competition with five finalist teams competing in the final leg of the competition during an oral presentation on Wednesday, Feb. 7.  

The Roofing Alliance announced the top five teams who earned the coveted invitation to the International Roofing Expo where they will present their proposals before a panel of esteemed judges during its 10th Anniversary Construction Management Student Competition.

This year’s competition is the roof of the prestigious Formula 1 Paddock Building in Las Vegas. Roofed by Commercial Roofers of Las Vegas, this complex project will challenge the following 10 teams, including three new schools who are first-time participants.

The Roofing Alliance, the foundation of the National Roofing Contractors Association announced the launch of its ninth annual student competition.

In April 2021, the Pritzker Military Museum & Library, located in Chicago, launched an international competition for the new Cold War Veterans Memorial to be built in Somers, Wisconsin, as a part of the Pritzker Archives & Memorial Park Center project.

Five schools will compete at the 2022 International Roofing Expo on February 2, 2022.
