The beginning of February brings us two key trade shows that should be of interest to specifiers of roofing and waterproofing. The International Roof Expo (IRE) is in San Antonio, Texas, Feb. 5-7, and The World of Concrete is in Las Vegas Feb. 5-8.  

Both of these shows will give specifiers an opportunity to meet with product manufacturers to view the latest material technology, ask pertinent questions regarding design and application techniques and gain a better understanding of product uses for specific applications. The trade shows also provide educational opportunities regarding some of the most inquired industry topics.

 The value of these shows is that designers can complete a year’s worth of material research in a few hours. Throughout the year ARW will report on some of these new products and new application techniques from these industry shows. However, if you can make it to one of the shows it is always beneficial to actually touch and feel the products to gain a better understanding of their use for your projects.
