The American Institute of Architects is applauding Congressional passage of the Community Disaster Resilience Zones Act of 2022, a bipartisan bill focused on resilience and equity by improving climate and natural hazard resilience among vulnerable communities.

JCJ Architecture announced that the Martin Luther King Jr. Campus has been honored with the Award of Merit in the “Interior Architecture” category in the 2022 AIA Connecticut Design Awards. The Cold-Formed Steel Engineers Institute is accepting entries through February 24, 2023 for its annual awards program, which acknowledges outstanding achievement in creative design, technical innovation, and best practices in the use of cold-formed steel.

Liscum RRC, RRO and SPRI Technical Director Mike Ennis, has prepared a white paper to provide resources and guidance for protecting the rooftop during severe weather events.

The Georgia-Pacific gypsum plant Sweetwater West, located in Sweetwater, Texas, recently completed board drying equipment enhancements that are anticipated to result in CO₂ reduction, energy savings, and the lowering of resource consumption.
