The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance has updated a specification providing a means to determine the chemical compatibility of sealants, liquid applied and self-adhered flashing materials used for the installation of fenestration products.
This standard is a crucial resource for roof system manufacturers, component manufacturers, accreditation bodies, certification services, roofing contractors, and owners of low slope roofing systems.
SPRI announced that it is partnering with FM Approvals to create a new standard “Test Standard for Comparative Adhesion Strengths of Waterproofing Membranes, Membrane Adhesives, and Board Stock Materials or Other Suitable Substrates Used with Low Slope Roofing Systems.”

The American Iron and Steel Institute has updated AISI S310, North American Standard for the Design of Profiled Steel Diaphragm Panels. This standard, first published in 2013, provides design provisions for diaphragms consisting of profiled steel panels which include fluted profiles and cellular panel profiles.
