All Weather Insulated Panels (AWIP) has named a new president, Greg Lusty, who previously held the position of AWIP’s Vice President of Sales for the last four years.
The new members are D.J. Highnote, product advisor/vice president at Roof Hugger, RC Antal, director of insulated metal panels at ATAS International, and Jules Dekovics, national sales manager at Exceptional Metals.
Design Wall panels in three custom painted colors and in grey zinc (real zinc in 1mm thickness), and Versa-Lok panels in a custom painted color and in grey zinc were used on this project.
Speed of build during the construction process was important to reach MU’s target open date for the 2023 season. Because of this, insulated metal panels (IMPs) were used for the building envelope.
When installing solar panels (typically warranted for 25 years of power generation), a building owner benefits from a roofing substrate that has a greater life expectancy than the solar panels. The solar panels can be installed to the metal panel seams using special clamps, without any roof penetrations.
With the design plan by Tucker Sadler Architects, San Diego, they took a leap to fashion a space that encourages the development of students’ talents while connecting to the community. This was done with Mayan influences, including a giant sun glyph and soaring building geometries.
