Jonathan Humble, FAIA, NCARB, LEED BD+C, regional director of the American Iron and Steel Institute Construction Technical Program, was presented with the Cool Roof Rating Council’s Lifetime Award at its annual meeting held on June 14, 2023 in Las Vegas.

Inherent in their makeup, metal roofs are sustainable, durable, and last about three times longer than other roofs. They help to trap less heat and cool a building down quicker.

Jeremy Grunewald, national product manager for roofing products and systems manufacturer Mule-Hide Products Co. Inc., has been named a Cool Roof Rating Council Educator.

In an effort to reduce operating costs, shrink power plant-generated greenhouse gas emissions, obtain green building certifications, and make building materials last longer, owners and managers of commercial buildings are looking for ways to lower their building's energy consumption.

Coat’N’Cool will serve as a vendor for New York City’s cool roof initiative, “NYC Cool Roofs,” and has been contracted to provide its cool roof product to cover the 14,000 square-foot roof of a New York City condominium building.
