Stantec Signs Definitive Purchase Agreement to Acquire Page

Stantec has signed a definitive purchase agreement to acquire Page. The results will grow Stantec’s U.S. Buildings practice by 35 percent and offer an expanded U.S. presence in healthcare, academic, civic, cultural, aviation, commercial, science & technology, mission critical facilities, and data centers.

- Increased U.S. employee headcount to approximately 13,500
- Expanded U.S. Buildings practice by about 35 percent
- Doubled overall presence in the state of Texas
- Become the second largest architecture firm in the U.S.
- Strengthened position as North America's largest architecture and engineering firm
Where have you seen Page? The firm has been a part of some of the country’s most dynamic projects including:
- Indeed Tower: Located in the heart of downtown Austin, Indeed Tower re-envisions an entire block with a new tower, renovated historic post office, and plaza. The new 36-story, glazed office tower offers a sculptural form and transparent base, making a mark on the city’s skyline.
- United States Embassies: New embassies in Guatemala City, Guatemala; Jakarta, Indonesia; Erbil, Iraq; Pristina, Kosovo; Oslo, Norway; and Hanoi, Vietnam were designed to embrace local architecture and a commitment to democracy, human rights, and sustainable economic development.
- The National September 11 Memorial and Museum: The development of The National September 11 Memorial and Museum was designed to articulate core design principles of memory, authenticity, scale, and emotion, while intertwining its cultural remembrance and emotional reaction to the site. (Page was Design Architect / AOR for below grade development of the Memorial Museum, and as the Associate Architect / AOR implemented the competition design for the Memorial Plaza.)
- Terminal B Transformation Program at George Bush Intercontinental Airport: The three-level, 765,000-square-foot terminal features the largest United Club in the United system as well as 22 narrow-body gates, a sensory room, interactive multi-media park, and comfort spaces for passengers with disabilities.
- Semiconductor Manufacturer FAB A2 and Central Utility Plant: The largest wafer fabrication facility in the US when built, the 1.6 million-SF plant includes expansive Class 100 cleanroom; office support area for the client’s headquarters; and an expansion to the existing central utility building; and support facilities.
- Franklin Delano Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum: In Hyde Park, New York, the building carefully addressed the control of temperature and humidity is vital to preserving artwork, books and mixed media, and other archival materials.
- Revitalize Historic Core Project for The Smithsonian Institution: This three-part revitalization including The Smithsonian Institution Building (the Castle), the Arts and Industries Building (AIB), and an underground central utility plant, is intended to preserve the exterior silhouette, restore the interior space to the early 20th century architecture, and use for special events. (Design and engineering from Page and Loring Consulting Engineers)
- John A. Paulson Center at New York University: With design architect KieranTimberlake, the new 735,000-SF mixed-use building provides new facilities for a wide range of university functions including performing arts, general academics, and athletics, as well as university housing for students and faculty.
- Hackensack Meridian Health Helena Theurer Pavillion: Spanning 530,000 SF, the facility in Hackensack, New Jersey, features nine floors of world-class acute care that provides comfort, safety, and privacy for patients and families. (Page was design and medical planning architect and AOR for interior build-out of the Pavilion; partnered with RSC Architects as AOR for overall project)
