S-5! will debut its new and improved ColorGard® 2.0 snow guard system at the International Roofing Expo (IRE) in San Antonio from Feb. 19-21. Alongside this exciting product launch, S-5!’s Founder and CEO will present Understanding Metal Roofing: Part I and II, providing the opportunity for attendees to earn valuable continuing education credits.
Show attendees can stop by booth #19078 to see firsthand the all-new ColorGard 2.0 snow retention system, designed for both standing seam and exposed fastened metal roofs. ColorGard 2.0 features an innovative internal splice that can be made directly over S-5! clamps and brackets—eliminating the need for field cutting, thus streamlining the installation process. Crossmembers may only require cutting at the assembly end. With no preassembly required, the system is a true lay-and-play solution. S-5! experts will be at the booth to further explain the system’s features and benefits.
“We’ve listened closely to valuable customer feedback, and as a result, our R&D team has engineered a next-generation version of our flagship snow retention system,” said Ricardo Barroso, S-5! Director of Research and Development. “After 30 years and 15,000 linear miles of successful installations, ColorGard 2.0 now has enhanced design features that deliver greater versatility, simplify assembly and significantly reduce installation time.”
In addition to the product unveiling, S-5!’s founder and director of the Metal Roof Advisory Group, Rob Haddock will present an introduction to Understanding Metal Roofing: Part I on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 8.30 a.m. Often billed as "Metal Roofing 101," and widely regarded as the best “crash course” for all in-industry personnel, this session delivers technical information in a common-sense fashion that makes the art and science of metal roofing clear, concise and understandable. Then, at 9.45 a.m., Haddock will present Understanding Metal Roofing: Part II, building on and expanding the foundational knowledge covered in Part I. Contractors, salespeople, architects, specifiers, roof consultants, engineers, building owners and maintenance staff will all benefit from attending.
