Duro-Last Announces Retirement of Tim Hart, VP of West Coast Operations

Duro-Last is preparing to say goodbye to Tim Hart, who has been a key figure in the company's success for over 40 years. Hart, who currently serves as Vice President of West Coast Operations, will be retiring on March 14. His departure will mark the end of a remarkable career that has seen him make significant contributions to both Duro-Last and the wider commercial roofing industry.
Hart first joined the Duro-Last family in 1982, starting out at the company's sister company, Tri-City Vinyl. He quickly made a name for himself, and was tapped by Duro-Last founder John Burt to lead the company's Quality Control lab. In this role, Hart was responsible for developing and implementing the rigorous testing protocols that are still in place today.
In 1987, Hart was given the opportunity to oversee Duro-Last's new facility in Grants Pass, Oregon. This move marked the beginning of a long and successful tenure on the West Coast, which ultimately saw Hart rise to the position of Vice President. Under his leadership, the company's sales in the region grew by an impressive 5,815%.
Hart's impact on Duro-Last extends beyond just the company's bottom line. He has also been a champion for safety and sustainability, playing a key role in Duro-Last's participation in the OSHA Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program. Hart's commitment to these values has not gone unnoticed, as he has received numerous awards and accolades throughout his career.
Even in retirement, Hart plans to remain active in the roofing industry. He will continue to work with the Western Roofing Contractors Association, where he has served on the board for the past 20 years.
