IIDA announced the winners of the 2024 IIDA Global Excellence Awards, which honor innovation and creativity in international interior design and interior architecture projects across 15 categories.
"Designers from around the world look to these winners as inspiration to challenge themselves on use of materials to create a one-of-a-kind experience of their own,” said IIDA Executive Vice President and CEO, Cheryl S. Durst, Hon. FIIDA. “This award highlights the heightened level of creativity and forward-thinking design needed to completely transform a space into something significant and unique.”
Entries were reviewed by a jury of design professionals, including, Blitz Co-Founder and Architect, Melissa Hanley, IIDA, AIA; Soucie Horner, Ltd. Studio Director, Meg Prendergast; and HDR Design Director of Interiors, Abby L. Scott, FIIDA.
“The use of materials, like vibrant textiles, lush greenery, or the waves of color that envelope those that enter the space made these projects stand out,” said Scott on behalf of the jury. “The design teams behind these projects demonstrated exceptional thoughtfulness in their execution, seamlessly incorporating function to deliver dynamic designs.”
