His experience spans over two decades, with a strong emphasis on sheet metal projects and a proven track record in delivering high-quality and efficient solutions.
Prior to joining IWR North America, Joel worked at Kuenz Heating and Sheet Metal, Missouri Builders Services, and United States Steel, where he honed his extensive project management and technical skills. His diverse responsibilities ranged from estimating architectural and fabrication projects using advanced software, to hands-on technical work like wiring and troubleshooting control circuits. Joel adeptly managed project lifecycles, involving detailed submittals, drafting, material logistics, and manpower scheduling. His role also encompassed critical safety oversight, coordination with general contractors and superintendents, and direct customer engagement for fabrication and installations.
Notable projects under Joel’s leadership include work on prominent sites such as the U.S. Silica, Washington University’s South Danforth Campus, and a major Boeing expansion project. His involvement in these projects has demonstrated his capacity for handling large-scale constructions with precision and excellence.
"We are thrilled to welcome Joel Reed as Project Manager, reinforcing our metal construction division where IWR's excellence parallels our nationally renowned glass and glazing work," said Jim Ryan, Senior Vice President of MHS Legacy Group, parent company of IWR North America. "Joel's impressive metal construction expertise aligns perfectly with our commitment to providing exceptional self-performed building enclosures, bolstering our position as industry leaders in both domains."
Joel's approach to project management is characterized by his adept skills in various technical aspects, including electrical and mechanical maintenance, welding, and familiarity with a wide range of construction software and tools. His educational background in business administration complements his practical experience, providing Joel with a unique perspective on project management and client relations.
