Global architecture and design firm Perkins Eastman is delighted to announce the promotion of 78 members of its staff this year. Their dedication, hard work, and collaborative spirit represent the essence of our “Human by Design” ethos.

Perkins Eastman celebrates the following individuals who have been promoted to the roles of Principal and Associate Principal:
- Associate Principal Natasha Brewer, NCIDQ, IIDA, possesses nearly 20 years of interior architecture experience in institutional and commercial projects for Pfeiffer—A Perkins Eastman Studio to create safe, functional, and aesthetically pleasing built environments that leave a lasting impact on the community.
- Principal Tracey Colabella, CPSM, heads Perkins Eastman’s Marketing department with an inimitable talent for creative thinking, a keen dedication to compassionate leadership, and more than 20 years of hands-on experience.
- Associate Principal Bryce de Reynier, AIA, LEED AP, brings more than 27 years of experience to the design of facilities for University and Science & Technology clients that are intuitive, forward-thinking, energy-efficient, and beautiful.
- Associate Principal Michael Friebele, LEED AP BD+C, applies an open and aware approach to architecture and urban design, considering all aspects that shape the built environment, along with 13 years of expertise, to design projects that reflect the positive impact of cross-discipline collaboration toward creating places for people to experience and enjoy.
- Associate Principal Karen Gioconda, NCIDQ, LEED AP ID+C, is a skilled interior designer and project manager for Perkins Eastman DC with 16 years of experience, a passion for relationship- and team-building, and a commitment to creating high-performing K-12 educational facilities.
- Principal Chhavi Lal, RA, Assoc. IIA, Assoc. IUDI, LEED Green Associate, combines more than 16 years of dedicated experience and engagement in the fraternity, along with an in-depth understanding of the built environment market in India, to work closely with stakeholders and develop a wide-ranging portfolio that spans from complex campus master plans to dynamic large-scale urban destinations.
- Associate Principal Jesse Mallen, AIA, applies a passion for high-performance design and nearly two decades of professional experience to his design work in primary, secondary, and higher education projects.
- Associate Principal Preeti Mogali, LEED Green Associate, leverages a decade of design expertise in retail and entertainment, mixed-use, residential, and commercial, as well as an inherently collaborative spirit, to create environments that are human-centric, unique, and commercially viable.
- Associate Principal Sachin Mulay, RA, LEED Green Associate, with 20 years of international experience, boasts a varied design and master planning portfolio of higher education institutions, sports facilities, and innovative IT parks.
- Associate Principal Emily Pierson-Brown, AIA, AICP, LEED Green Associate, balances more than 15 years of experience in community planning, neighborhood revitalization, and senior living projects with a fervent advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion in her multi-faceted role as an architect, planner, designer, and Perkins Eastman’s PEople Culture Manager.
- Associate Principal Sameer Relan, RA, utilizes a particular strength in technical expertise, client-focused relationship-building, and detailed project management from concept to execution, along with 21 years of expertise, to develop a portfolio of large-scale commercial, institutional, and healthcare work.
- Associate Principal Jorge Soto, AIA, applies two decades of experience in multi-family, mixed-use, hospitality, senior living, and healthcare design, along with a deep-seated passion for sustainability, to deliver a wide array of buildings that enhance communities and improve people’s lives.
- Associate Principal Kendall Tynes employs a uniquely evocative and story-focused approach to graphic design, as well as nearly 15 years of expertise in branded environments, placemaking, signage, and public installations, in her role as creative director of Frank Design, Perkins Eastman’s in-house experiential graphic design studio.

In addition, Perkins Eastman celebrates the hard-earned promotions of 32 individuals to Senior Associates.
