The Precast/Prestressed Concrete Institute (PCI) of Georgia/Carolinas chapter has named Marti Harrell as its new Executive Director.
Before joining the PCI Georgia/Carolinas chapter, Harrell held many positions at the National Precast Concrete Association (NPCA), where she worked for 19 years. During her career at NPCA she held many positions, including vice president, membership, education workforce and outreach; executive director of the NPCA Foundation; vice president, technical services and professional development; and director, plant certification and education. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Public & Environmental Affairs at Indiana University, Bloomington, Ind.
“I am honored to accept the position of Executive Director at this well-established and well-loved organization,” Harrell said. “The Georgia/Carolinas PCI Board of Directors, in partnership with Ray Clark, has provided excellent leadership to create a powerful network of members, academia, and industry experts to promote the use precast, prestressed concrete throughout the region. I am excited to continue these efforts to promote precast concrete as the material of choice.”
Harrell replaces Ray Clark, who headed the chapter since 2021. Clark is the new executive director of the PCI Foundation.
The chapter oversees marketing and educational efforts to grow the precast, prestressed concrete industry in Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. It is one of 11 regional PCI chapters throughout the United States.
