The RCI-IIBEC Foundation is set to release a new study on unit-price procurement of design and construction services on May 31, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. ET. “An Analysis of Unit-Price Procurement & Cooperative Purchasing” will review findings of the study, which is based on interviews with vendors, cooperative purchasing list owners, regional cooperative purchasing agents, public owner facility managers, and public procurement staff.
Hear from the study authors about what’s going on in public procurement of design and construction services using unit-price procurement. Attendees will learn:
- How unit price procurement and cooperative purchasing approaches can be misused
- How to ensure equity in unit price procurement
- How to properly use unit price in design and construction
- The future challenges of unit price procurement strategies
Closing the session, Brian Pallasch, executive vice president and chief executive officer (EVP/CEO) of IIBEC, will discuss how IIBEC is defending the profession from the misuse of unit-price procurement.
