Architects, fabricators and coaters looking for on-trend coil and extrusion coatings to differentiate their projects can go ‘wild’ with the latest color innovation from AkzoNobel.
‘Wild Wonder’ has been named the Color of Year 2023. The color is a glowing natural tone that connects us to nature and helps us feel better in our homes and in the world around us. It is based on the idea that, as people search for support, connection, inspiration and balance in their lives, they’re diving into the wonders of the natural world to find it.
“Wild Wonder is the spark of inspiration that ignites a long-term design partnership with industrial customers. On-trend colors, textures and special effects have been designed for the construction market,” explains Rob Haley, Color Trends Manager, Industrial Coatings, AkzoNobel.
AkzoNobel’s Global Design team has also created four unique color palettes around the Color of the Year that are driven by balance and rhythms of nature. These palettes have been designed around Wild Wonder: Lush Colors (the forest hues), Buzz Colors (meadow brights), Raw Colors (harvest shades) and Flow Colors (seashore tones). These themes make it easy to choose colors and combinations for a timeless look that’s also on trend.
The company’s highly trained color experts around the world make these colors for each customer in the correct product quality for the job at hand. They can also help customers find close-matching and on-tone colors from a standard assortment.
“Our high-quality coil and extrusion products like TRINAR™, CERAM-A-STAR™ and POLYDURE™ are the best performing in the market,” says Haley. “They are widely specified and used for their excellent performance, durability, color and gloss retention.”
