KWK Architects announced the hiring of Jess DeAngelo as an Architectural Associate.
In her new role, DeAngelo will assist the architectural team in all stages of design, including site planning, construction document preparation and construction administration.
She has four years of industry experience, which includes a year as a self-employed design consultant and a year as an Architectural Designer for Mitchell Wall Architecture & Design in St. Louis. Her experience also includes Research Assistant for St. Louis-based architect Valerie Greer where she created drawings for the Pacific Garden Mission renovation in Chicago, as well as Teaching Assistant at Washington University’s History and Design Studio where she led seminar meetings for groups of 15 students and provided feedback on design concepts, technical drawings and presentations.
“Jess is an enthusiastic collaborator with experience delivering results in a fast-paced environment,” said KWK Principal Paul Wuennenberg. “We’re excited to witness her creativity in action as she works with our team to deliver unique design solutions for our higher education clients.”
DeAngelo has a Master of Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a Bachelor of Science in Engineering Science and Art History from Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN.
She resides in University City, MO with her husband Tom and their two dogs and two cats. She is expecting their first child in February. When not working, she enjoys playing golf and volleyball, yoga, swimming and rock climbing.
