Banker Wire, the world’s leading manufacturer of woven and welded wire mesh for architectural and industrial applications, is pleased to announce the introduction of Anodized Aluminum, a new finish option for the opaque wire mesh pattern, DS-9.

Aluminum is a lighter weight material than other options such as stainless steel or brass. Anodizing is a conversion coating process where the colors become merged with the material. The bond between the two metals makes this finish resistant to chipping or peeling over time. When paired with the wide range of color options that anodizing provides, the DS-9 pattern specified in aluminum becomes one of the top choices for various types of surfacing where weight is a deciding factor.

The Anodized Aluminum on DS-9 is now offered in six different color fast matte finishes: Champagne, Dark Bronze, Light Bronze, Black, Clear, and Gold. The array of colors are strikingly elegant, bringing any project to the next level.

“The launch of the new finish for DS-9 exemplifies our commitment to providing the widest variety of fully-customizable wire mesh, with a vast range of color and finish options,” says Harrison Horan, Vice President, Banker Wire. “Practicing our craft for over 125 years has allowed us to refine our processes to ensure we’re the most efficient and technically precise we can be, while also providing beautiful finishes to complement any project.”

The new finish for DS-9 is suitable for a variety of applications—including commercial environments, multifamily buildings, private residential projects, hospitality spaces, and more. The DS-9 woven wire mesh pattern, is an opaque style mesh pattern, produced with tooling that consistently crushes the wires before weaving. When the flattened ovals are brought together, they nest perfectly to form a solid sheet of woven wire mesh that can be used for all surfacing applications.
