SAF (Southern Aluminum Finishing Co.) has hired Jim Cooper as Branch Manager of the company’s new SAF Midwest Branch. SAF Midwest opened on August 1, 2017 in Indianapolis, Ind.

He will manage SAF Midwest branch operations, including aluminum sheet and extrusions sales, in addition to fabrication services for SAF customers in Indiana and surrounding states.

Cooper comes to SAF with extensive experience in plant, manufacturing and operations management. Prior to joining SAF he was a facility manager for Nitrix, Franklin, Ind., plant manager for the Copper & Brass Sales Division of Thyssen Krupp Materials, Brownsburg, Ind., and manager for steel service centers S&S Steel Services and Performance Metals.

He has a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood University, Midland, Mich., and served 4 years in U.S. Naval Submarine Service, Groton, Conn.
