The Mid-Atlantic Steel Framing Alliance (MASFA) has updated its website, http://www.masfa.com/, to reflect a new look and improved functionality. Partnering with the Steel Framing Alliance, MASFA’s members are committed to expanding the use of cold-formed steel framing in the commercial construction marketplace.
The updated website is accessible via mobile devices. It includes information on training programs available for architects, engineers, code officials, developers, contractors and the labor force; MASFA membership opportunities and networking events; and a list of resources, including publications and research materials as well as access to experts for cold-formed steel framing project assistance.
“Cold-formed steel is an innovative material for mid-rise commercial projects and is still under-utilized in the construction marketplace, mainly due to lack of understanding of all its benefits,” said Jeffrey Klaiman, P.E., President of MASFA and Principal of ADTEK Engineers, Inc. in Fairfax, Virginia. “We wanted to make information about cold-formed steel framing more accessible to construction professionals, and the redesigned website will be an important tool in helping us achieve that objective.”
