TowerPinkster announced the expansion of its Grand Rapids office.
The office expansion was part of a three-year strategic plan focused on growing the company in terms of talent, clientele, markets, and services offered, as well as expanding its team in the Grand Rapids community.
TowerPinkster, a multi-discipline architecture, engineering, and interior design firm with offices in Grand Rapids and Kalamazoo, moved into the historic Junior Achievement building in 2013. Located on the corner of Division and Fulton, TowerPinkster occupied only one side when it moved into its second floor space. As a result of strategic growth, the firm doubled its staff and filled the entire second floor. At the end of 2016, TowerPinkster was poised to expand again - this time to the south side of the first level.
At an open house for the new space earlier in the month, Mayor Rosalynn Bliss said, “I want to thank TowerPinkster for really reimagining this space, which sat empty for so long and bringing it back to life. I’m so excited to see that they are growing and doing so much incredible work in this community...In addition to all of the work that they do in this community, they are attracting incredible talent to our city, which we all know is crucial to the success of our city.” The mayor went on to thank the firm for their participation in the Heartside district.
“We have opened the first level suite in an effort to continue the vision of the company to strengthen the firm and its presence in the Grand Rapids community,” said TowerPinkster’s President and CEO Bjorn Green at the open house event. “We aim to support the community at large, bring talented employees to the West Michigan area, and support our clients in everything that we do.”
TowerPinkster provided architectural design and engineering services to the building’s owner, Locus Development, and was able to transform the first-floor space into a 21st-century work environment. Pioneer Construction served as the general contractor. Interphase Interiors and Haworth Inc. supplied the office furniture and workspace equipment. The space features workstations with electric sit-to-stand desks, large collaboration spaces, private conference rooms, and the latest in video conferencing technology.
TowerPinkster continues to enhance their workplace environments across West Michigan in an effort to meet the needs of their talented team members. They have recently won many awards honoring their innovative team and culture, including 101 Best and Brightest Companies to Work For (Michigan Business and Professional Association), #1 Best Firm to Work for in the Nation (Zweig Group), and When Work Works Awards - Workplace Flexibility (Families and Work Institute).
