Section 1807.2.2
Dampproofing materials for walls shall be installed on the exterior surface of the wall, and shall extend from the top of the footing to above ground level.
CODE INTERPRETATION
This section implies that dampproofing of walls shall be applied at the exterior surface and shall extend from the top of the footing to above ground level.
The materials used for dampproofing of walls shall consist of bitumen, acrylic modified asphalt and surface bonding mortar that complies with ASTM C 887.
