Ehrlich Architects has evolved in leadership and practice over the course of its 36-year history. Founded in 1979 as a sole-proprietorship, Ehrlich Architects has expanded into a dynamic collective in structure and spirit. In 2015, it became a Partnership, reflecting the elevation of Takashi Yanai, Patricia Rhee and Mathew Chaney as Partners.

The new name reflects the unique vision and leadership of each of the Partners, complementing the legacy that Steven has created. EYRC is a diverse practice: whose commissions include houses of all sizes, educational facilities, civic projects, office and retail complexes, courthouses and hotels.

As buildings have become increasingly complex to design and construct, we believe that collaboration is the best approach for achieving design excellence and managing costs. EYRC’s Partners bring multiple perspectives and a range of experience to their shared architectural philosophy, Multicultural Modernism.

They are supported by an expanded tier of leadership including Associate Principals Whitney Wyatt and Mark Kim, Associates Alden Glauch and Ashley Richardson, and a staff of forty employees.

A fresh graphic identity communicates the name change now in place. Check out the new website at www.eyrc.com.
