To help architects further express their creativity on building façades, Trespa has developed three distinctive finish options for its popular line of Trespa Meteon architectural panels. The new Trespa Meteon Lumen collection enables light to be reflected, scattered, enhanced or muted. The new finishes – Diffuse, Specular and Oblique – currently are available for eight colors, including black, white, gray and several terracotta hues:
- Diffuse removes glossiness, reflection and texture for a smooth, subdued appearance.
- Oblique provides a matt-and-gloss surface that brings a natural, weathered look to any façade.
- Specular offers a reflective surface that adds liveliness with deep colors and gloss.
“Trespa Meteon Lumen changes the way designs are perceived; it changes how people interact with structures and how buildings interact with their surroundings,” said Lucas Stevens, Design Expert at Trespa. “With Trespa Meteon Lumen, design professionals can play with the compositions of light reflection on their buildings’ façades, within a single color. This new diversity of finishes enhances design creativity and ensures façades will truly stand out.”
Trespa Meteon is a decorative high-pressure compact laminate (HPL) with an integral surface manufactured using Trespa’s unique in-house technology, Electron Beam Curing (EBC). -The blend of up to 70 percent natural fibers and thermosetting resins, manufactured under high pressures and temperatures, yields a highly stable, dense panel with good strength-to-weight ratio.
Trespa Meteon stands out in vertical exterior wall coverings such as facade cladding, balcony paneling and sun blinds. The entire Trespa Meteon product range is available with PEFC or FSC certification upon request, in restricted quantities and certain jurisdictions.
