In order to meet the growing industry demand for more energy efficient building materials, Atlas Roofing has introduced its Pinnacle Pristine shingle in an all-new pearl color. The Pinnacle Pristine Pearl—a white asphalt shingle featuring Scotchgard Protector—offers superior protection against the sun's rays and heat.
The Pinnacle Pristine Pearl sets a new standard for energy efficiency. It is rated at a .25 SRI (Solar Reflectivity Index), helping to reject solar heat and reduce energy costs for homeowners.
“The Pinnacle Pristine Pearl is a top choice in coastal areas in general,” said Matt Jackson, sales representative with Atlas Roofing. “Florida, Texas, and other areas along the coastline could prefer white roofs for a different type of look and a more energy efficient shingle.”
Atlas Roofing is focused on sustainability trends for building materials as the company works towards earning Energy Star certification in advanced technology. “We are about two years into the Energy Star Technology SRI value for Energy Star,” said Jackson. “It takes three years to get this certification, and we are almost there.”
