WASHINGTON — The Center for the Polyurethanes Industry (CPI) of the American Chemistry Council has issued a call for papers and posters to be presented at the 2015 Polyurethanes Technical Conference, which will take place Oct. 5-7, 2015 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
The conference is the leading technical industry event for suppliers, manufacturers and processors, as well as for companies that use and innovate with polyurethane products. Each year, the conference addresses the latest in breakthrough technology through its paper and poster program.
Paper abstracts are due Feb. 2, 2015. Submission instructions and guidelines for development of papers and posters can be found here. Poster abstracts are due Aug. 3, 2015.
Papers can address innovations and developments involving polyurethane chemistry or uses, including new polyurethane products or applications; raw material or additive innovations; or breakthroughs in equipment design or operation.
Papers and posters also may focus on issues associated with the manufacture, use, handling, transportation, disposal and end-of-life of polyurethanes, as well as health, environmental and product stewardship issues. Regulatory and legislative topics, code and standard developments are also welcome as paper and poster topics.
Criteria for paper and poster abstracts include originality and relevance of the topic. Paper and poster abstracts will be judged by a panel of technical and industry experts. Paper presentations are judged on both technical merit and the quality and effectiveness of the speaker, and clarity of the presentation. Awards will be presented at the conference in October to recognize outstanding papers and posters in the various categories.
