 The new MEL-ROL waterproofing system is a flexible, versatile, roll-type waterproofing membrane composed of a nominally 56-mil-thick layer of polymeric waterproofing membrane and a durable 4-mil cross-laminated polyethylene carrier film. The two layers are laminated together using strict quality-controlled production procedures, creating a sturdy, dependable membrane. There is a handy overlap guideline printed 2½ inches (63.5 mm) in from the edge of the material on each side to ensure proper overlap coverage, and assist in maintaining straight application and exposed polymeric membrane strips are provided on both sides for positive membrane-to-membrane adhesion in the overlap area.
