INDIANAPOLIS — Firestone Building Products Co. LLC has released its 2012 Sustainability Report.The report, which is the first for Firestone, covers the fiscal 2012 year and is available for download online.
A subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas, Firestone declared its commitment to working with the company’s many stakeholders to realize a sustainable society. To achieve its environmental mission of habitat enhancement, natural resource conservation and CO2 reductions, the company adhered to sustainable manufacturing processes that balance industrial needs with the needs of neighboring communities, challenged its teammates to engineer sustainable products that would inspire customers, and empowered teammates to carry out sustainable activities at work and in the community.
