BOSTON, Mass. — Simpson Gumpertz & Heger Inc. (SGH) announced it has been recognized by ZweigWhite with a 2012 Pinnacle Award for creating great work environments while significantly growing revenues by more than 17 percent over the course of four years.
Fifteen firms within the Architecture, Engineering or Construction (AEC) industry are eligible for a Pinnacle Award when they rank on the ZweigWhite Best Structural Engineering Firms to Work For list, which recognizes excellent workplaces and high levels of employee satisfaction, as well as The Zweig Letter Hot Firm List, which honors tremendous revenue growth. In 2011, SGH placed seventh out of 20 on the Best Structural Engineering Firms to Work For list, and 97 out of 175 on The Zweig Letter Hot Firm List, which measured revenue growth between 2007 to 2010.
“We are proud to be honored as a ZweigWhite Pinnacle Award winner this year,” said Glenn Bell, P.E., chief executive officer of SGH. “Our company culture is very important to us at SGH. We continuously focus on improving our connections with clients and employees. This recognition is an important validation of our efforts.”
Key to SGH’s culture is continuous learning and growth. SGH established a formal internal training program called Founders’ Legacy which helps promote experiential learning with the support of more formal professional development programs. Internal formal training programs can include such topics as risk management and supervisor coaching, feedback, and delegation.
