SAN DIEGO — OneRoof Energy announces Dale A. Vander Woude as executive vice president of corporate strategy. Vander Woude will oversee the company’s capital investments and corporate growth as part of the newly expanded executive team leading OneRoof Energy.
In his new role and reporting to OneRoof Energy President and CEO David Field, Vander Woude will oversee corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions. He will work to secure corporate and project financing to meet OneRoof Energy’s growth and revenue objectives. Vander Woude will also lead market and credit enterprise risk management initiatives and develop consumer credit policies and procedures to maximize market opportunities.
Vander Woude brings more than two decades of financial management experience to the quickly expanding OneRoof Energy. Since 1996, he was a director in capital markets origination for Citigroup Global Markets, a U.S.-based brokerage and securities arm of Citigroup. There, he oversaw a diverse range of tax, structured equity and structured debt investments, in both proprietary and advisory capacities. Vander Woude has served as the senior advisor for issuers and investors on multiple renewable energy transactions, including a residential solar fund and equity and debt investments in wind farm development companies.
“OneRoof Energy is poised to become a leading residential solar installer, and the company has already exceeded financial expectations for continued growth this year,” Vander Woude said. “I am looking forward to contributing to its success and helping the company realize its revenue objectives.”
OneRoof Energy was backed by $50 million in initial financing in 2011, followed by an additional $5 million this year. Vander Woude has also been tasked with managing this fund and securing the second round of financing as part of OneRoof Energy’s long-term growth strategy.
“Dale brings two decades of senior executive experience in advising growth strategies for large-scale renewable energy investments and has overseen hundreds of millions of dollars of investments in the renewable space alone,” said David Field, president and CEO of OneRoof Energy. “We’re confident that his leadership will help us increase our market expansion, build partnerships, and fuel our capacity to fund growth this year.”
Vander Woude is one of several new executive hires for OneRoof Energy. Since the company’s inception in late 2011, OneRoof Energy has grown its work force to more than 60 new employees, with plans to add a total of 150 green jobs by year end.
