WASHINGTON, D.C.— The Center PV Taskforce released a second draft of PV Racking and Attachment Criteria for Membrane Roof System Integration. The second draft has been prepared by a broad coalition of stakeholders from the roofing and solar industries, and reflects careful consideration of the comments submitted during the initial round of public comment.
In similar form to the first draft, the second draft contains five fundamental principles for the effective deployment of rooftop PV on membrane roof systems. The second draft was renamed to reflect its application to membrane roof systems only. Based on the comments received, the Taskforce determined that the scope of the document should be limited to eliminate confusion. Subsequent iterations of the criteria document will cover other roof system technologies.
The second round of public comment will run from May 9, 2012, through June 8, 2012. All comments must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. EDT on June 8, 2012. The Taskforce is interested in hearing from industry stakeholders and the at-large community.
