DALLAS – National Roofing Partners, with the help of ABC Supply Co., Inc. and K Post Company, was able to help a family in need this past holiday season. It was brought to our attention that without a proper roof replacement, this family was in jeopardy of losing their home. The City of Irving, Texas declared the home inhabitable and threatened to condemn the home if the replacement was not made. Rick Jenkins, director of Commercial Sales, with ABC Supply Co., Inc. agreed to donate all of the materials needed to complete the project and K Post Company agreed to supply all required labor.
Adan Casteneda, Sheet Metal Superintendent, and a team of approximately 15 individuals from K Post Companys sheet metal department volunteered their time and labor to replace the existing roof on Friday, Jan. 20 and Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012. The home had three existing roofs that were torn off, the equivalent of 5,700 square feet. In addition, approximately 300 square feet of wood decking was replaced as well as approximately 400 feet of wood rafters and fascia. “The time, labor and materials of everyone involved from NRP, K Post and ABC Supply goes beyond kindness. What you and the other people did for us provided more than a new roof,” said the homeowner.
The generous donation of materials from ABC Supply Co., Inc. along with a substantial amount of time and labor donated from K Post Company has in turn saved a family in need this holiday season. “We now have the peace of mind that there will not be any leaks in the house and that deterioration due to leaks will not continue. My heart is warmed every time I see our new roof. My family is thrilled and proud of the roof. We are grateful for the work that you did,” replied the gracious homeowner.
