CHICAGO –– The American Ladder Institute (ALI), the national trade association representing the North American ladder industry, has announced release of the Mobile Ladder Stands/Platforms safety training module. This module is the fourth in a series, joining multi-media training programs for step ladders, extension/single ladders and articulated ladders. The program is free and can be used in a group or individual setting.

“This new module is an important addition to our series,” said ALI President Ron Schwartz. “Mobile ladder usage is becoming increasingly common, especially in retail stores and plant floors, and getting proper training into employees’ hands is essential.”

Mobile ladders, also referred to as rolling ladders, are primarily used in the workplace and are generally purchased to perform a specific task. The training module can be an asset to the staff and management.

To date, 9,500 individual users have taken advantage of ALI’s free training resources, which focus on proper selection, use and care of ladders. A certificate of completion is available once the post-training test has been completed and passed satisfactorily. Supervisors can enroll staff and manage the training process for their team. The ladder safety training program provides comprehensive training to professionals and do-it-yourself ladder users.
