ATLANTA, Ga. - Atlas Roofing Corp. continues the growth of their production and service capacity by introducing a polyiso manufacturing facility in the Pacific Northwest. The new plant, located in Vancouver, British Columbia, answers a growing demand for polyiso roof and wall insulation products in the region. All of Atlas’ polyiso products are available through the new Vancouver facility beginning with shipments in February 2012.

The new plant rounds out Atlas’ eight North American polyiso manufacturing locations and is the company’s 17th North American production facility.

“Reaching the Pacific Northwest with polyiso insulation products is an important priority for Atlas,” said Tom Rowe, vice president, commercial sales and marketing. “Construction in Western Canada is trending upward at the moment and the Western U.S. continues steady expansion in commercial building. Both markets require energy-efficient building envelopes to meet increasing federal and local codes and standards. Helping architects, building owners, consultants, and contractors use our extensive polyiso product line to meet their needs is an exciting business opportunity for Atlas.”

The new facility will incorporate laminating and blowing agent technologies to produce a polyiso board with versatility and high Long Term Thermal Resistance (LTTR) Values. All polyiso insulation products manufactured at Atlas facilities are certified under PIMA’s QualityMarkcm Program, providing third party certification for thermal insulation values. Additionally, Atlas polyiso products are manufactured with CFC-, HCFC-, and HFC-free foam blowing technology with zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and zero (negligible) global warming potential (GWP).

The new Vancouver facility joins the existing Toronto location as the second Atlas polyiso plant in Canada. The new plant will enable daily services to many distribution outlets throughout western Canada, while reducing delivery times and related costs throughout the United States.

“Our new plant is an opportunity to cultivate new partnerships with building materials distributors, contractors, construction specifiers and building owners in the region, while providing even better service to our existing partners,” stated Ken Farrish, president of Atlas. “With our versatile line of facers, specialty products, and number of code approvals, Atlas is a great choice as a single source for polyiso insulation.”
