WAYNE, N.J. —GAF is continuing its dedication towards helping those in need by participating in yet another episode of the ABC network program, "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition." The company will donate a full roofing system to a brave young girl who lost a leg as a result of saving her younger sister from being hit by a truck. The show will air on Sunday, Oct. 9 at 9 p.m. EST.

The entire "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" crew will be visiting Madison, Ga. to build a new home for Anaiah Taylor, her mother Andrea and her two younger sisters, Camry and Amariah. Earlier this year, Anaiah saved her little sister’s life by pushing her out of the way of an oncoming truck—and was struck, herself. Sustaining life-threatening injuries, Anaiah had her left leg amputated and has been going through grueling rehab to recover.

Unwavering in her optimism, Anaiah remains a smart and fun straight-A student with dreams of becoming a doctor or lawyer. She is currently wheelchair-bound and the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" team will be designing a house for her that is safe, secure, ADA-accessible and free of obstacles; a place where she and her sisters can continue to pursue their dreams.

GAF has contributed a full roofing system, including Grand Slate™ II shingles, part of its Lifetime Designer Shingles Value Collection. These shingles feature GAF’s Advanced Protection® technology, which offers improved performance, including superior wind resistance, while being more environmentally friendly due to lower unnecessary material usage. Grand Slate™ II shingles pass the industry’s two toughest wind tests—ASTM D3161 Class F 110 mph and ASTM D7158 Class H 150 mph—and carry a Lifetime Limited Warranty.
