CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa – Texas Governor and presidential

a part of his Midwest bus tour. He spent about one hour talking business with D.
C. Taylor President Phil Suess, touring the commercial roofing company's
headquarters, meeting employees and speaking about creating jobs for Americans.

employees from all over the U.S. who were in Cedar Rapids for a training
session.
Perry, along with his wife and family , learned more
about the issues facing the commercial roofing industry and how the company has
managed to hire 232 employees since 2008, a feat that few businesses its size
have accomplished in the last three years.
“Governor Perry was very interested in learning more
about our company’s safety and risk management programs, how we build roofs that
are more sustainable and green, and our approach to recycling and keeping
materials out of landfills,” said Suess “We were very appreciative that he chose
D. C. Taylor Co. as one of his stops along his
tour.”
