The Metal Construction Association (MCA), an organization of manufacturers and suppliers whose metal wall and roofing components are used in buildings throughout North America, has welcomed Rick Perry as its new technical and research manager. Perry will lead Codes and Standards activities and support many of MCA's technical and research projects, complementing the work that Scott Kriner, MCA's current technical director, continues to lead. He holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toledo in Ohio and has over 25 years in product design, development, and manufacturing; related to the residential and commercial building supply industry. He has professional training in project management and Lean Six Sigma. He held a similar role at the Window & Door Manufacturers Association for eight years, where he was involved in the development of performance standards, authored technical reports, and worked with committees to manage projects and publications.
