B.L. Downey Company announced the appointment of Mark A. Prochaska as Maintenance Manager with responsibilities for equipment and building preventative maintenance in B.L. Downey Company’s 325,000-square-foot plant in Broadview, Ill.

Prochaska’s career spans two decades and includes work with industrial companies involving the management of all production and maintenance personnel, equipment maintenance and layout, safety programs, capital acquisition, design of manufacturing processes, and material handling systems. Under his watch, past employees have enjoyed increased productivity and reduced costs, as well as increased Plant Safety and lowered Workman Compensation claims.

Prochaska holds a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Illinois (1986), and also served three years in the United States Army’s Combat Engineer Croup where he was stationed in various foreign countries and became proficient in German. For more information, visitwww.bldowney.com.
